A Relaxing Weekend in My Life.

Hello, friends! I hope that you are all doing well. I had a really lovely weekend and I thought I would share some highlights with you. Nothing big happened, the weather was just really beautiful and it put me in such a nice mood. I hope y’all were able to enjoy some warm weather this weekend. Especially since most of us had such rainy days today. I’ve said it many times before, but I love my rainy days almost as much as my sunny days!

The weather was SO nice this Saturday and I felt really blessed to be able to enjoy it. There’s nothing like sitting in the grass after a long winter. Bobby took this shot of me while we were outside. Don’t be fooled, we were sitting outside of our apartment and not in frame was a very crowded construction zone. (They’re building another apartment building next to ours.) No fancy locations here.

I also felt happy to be wearing a sundress again. It had been far too long. This is one that I bought from TJ Maxx a year or so ago. I’ve really been loving pastel colors lately and I think that this dress is just so adorable. It’s one of my favorites. I paired it with this beautiful sun hat that I purchased from Old Navy a year or so ago as well.

It’s so funny, come spring and summertime, seeing my tattoos after forgetting about them throughout the winter. For those who may not know, I have FOUR! A UFO on my right ankle, a tree on my left forearm, a daisy on my collarbone, and “There is a Light that Never Goes Out” written out on my right bicep. Should I do a post talking about my tattoos? I know I don’t have very many, but I always like hearing the stories behind people’s tattoos, even if they’re just fun and silly ones.

I also got a package in the mail that made my whole weekend. It was a bag of coffee from Ponder Coffee in my hometown. My dad bought it off of their website and sent it to me. I’m trying to work through the coffee that I have right now, but I’m so excited to try it. I used to go their all the time during college and I really miss it. It felt like a hug from home had been sent through the mail.

I’ve been watching a lot of movies lately and this weekend was no exception. I watched the movie Enemy for the first time. I found it while searching through the thriller section on Netflix. It’s a very beautiful movie, but one that I found to be profoundly confusing. I ended up watching a Youtube video afterwards that helped me understand it a little bit better. I still don’t know that I completely understand it, but the video certainly helped. Has anyone else watched it? What did you think of it?

And that’s all I have for you today, my friends. My to-do list for this weekend was very long, but if I’m being completely honest, I didn’t do a single thing on it. (Oops) I had initially planned on doing some crafts that I wanted to feature in this post, but alas… I hope you enjoyed this update all the same.

Thank you, as always, for reading!

XOXO,

Mattie Mae
