What’s on My TBR List

Hello, friends! In a previous post of mine, I discuss the app, Libby. I absolutely love it and I have quite a few books that I have on hold currently and I thought that I’d share them.

  1. Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty This book follows passengers on a domestic flight, however this is a flight that none of them will soon forget. A woman on board accurately predicts the death of one passenger, who soon succumbs to their fate exactly as she predicted. I absolutely love Liana Moriarty and had no idea that she had a relatively new book! I’m getting to the point where I’ve read just about all of her books, so when I saw this one was now available via Libby, I was exctatic! I’m currently second in line to receive it (after starting at 66th in line).
  2. The Briar Club by Kate Quinn This book is about a boardinghouse in Washington DC, circa 1950. It is told from the point-of-view of its various tenants. Their lives are all turned upside down by a mysterious, violent crime. I’m currently 12th in line (started 36th), but funnily enough, I actually have already started this book, but wasn’t able to finish it in time, so I had to be put back in the queue. I hadn’t gotten super far into it yet, but I was really enjoying it!
  3. Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins The long-awaited fifth Hunger Games Book!!! I have been a Hunger Games since waaay back, so when I saw this book was being published, I was SO excited! This book follows the fiftieth annual Hunger Games, featuring Haymitch Abernathy. I am currently 66th in line (started 116th!!!). I am so excited!!!
  4. Say Everything by Ione Skye This book, as you may be able to glean, is Ione Skye’s autobiography. Unfortunately my library doesn’t have this book available, but I recently found one of my old bookstore gift cards, so I think I will be purchasing this one! My friend read it and really enjoyed it, so I’m looking forward to reading this as well.
  5. The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf This is a sociological study of the toll that physical perfection has on women and how detrimental it can be to women as a whole My library does not have this one available either, but I am so intrigued by it that I might have to buy this one as well.

That’s that, friends! Please tell me what you have on your list!

XOXO,

Mattie Mae
