Hi, friends! Back for the second day in a row! What if I mustered up the motivation and dedication to post every day? That’s long been a goal of mine, but has not ever been realized. The closest I came was Blogmas, many, many years ago. I mentioned in my last post that I wanted to start sharing art projects that I do in the hopes of inspiring others to have some fun with creativity, and not see it as something that is competitive or stressful.
I think that this may have been a craft trend awhile ago, but I’m never up-to-date about such things! And that is taking an old Altoid tin and giving it a makeover. I’ve seen people go very creative with them and make little scenes inside them, but I wanted my tin to be able to hold some of my sewing things, so I opted for just painting the top. Some acrylic and glitter paint that I had on hand from the dollar store and a paint pen that I’ve had for ages are all I needed for this fun makeover. My goal with crafting is to use what I’ve had for ages and not buy too many new things to craft with. I’m trying to create with what I have, because I am a bit of an arts and crafts hoarder. I just love looking at beautiful buttons, beads, fabric, etc. I get too nervous to ever actually do anything with it, but I am saying no more! I bought it to create, and that’s what I plan on doing!
Now I just need to come up with how I want to decorate this second Altoid tin. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
XOXO,
Mattie Mae
